Abstract EN

This study aims to reveal the extent to which the book of natural and life sciences for the third year of middle school includes multiple intelligences in the light of Gardner's theory, and to achieve the goal of the study, the researchers adopted the descriptive approach by following the content analysis method, relying on the idea unit as a recording or counting unit to measure and count the indicators of multiple types of intelligences through the analysis form, where the study tool (analysis form) was prepared according to the classification and definition of "Gardner" for multiple intelligences.

After verifying the analysis tool as well as the validity and consistency of the analysis, the researchers came to the following conclusions: - The percentage of inclusion of multiple intelligences in the content of the book of natural and life sciences for the third year of middle school amounted to 59.

78%, which is lower than the spoken percentage of 70%, which indicates a lack of inclusion of the nine intelligences in the content of the book under study.

- Naturalistic intelligence obtained the highest percentage of frequencies of its indicators, which was estimated at 46.

47%, and the repetition rates of indicators of visual spatial intelligence, verbal linguistic intelligence and mathematical logical intelligence did not exceed 15%, while the percentages of indicators of the rest of the intelligences did not exceed 10%.

- A paragraph (distinguishing living and non-living organisms) in naturalistic intelligence received the highest percentage of repetitions, followed by a paragraph (knowing the characteristics of living and non-living organisms) also in naturalistic intelligence, then followed by a paragraph (using language for the purpose of explanation and clarification) in verbal-linguistic intelligence.

The content of the book neglected 37 paragraphs where it did not get any frequencies.
