Abstract EN

The objectives of this study is knowing the prevalent type of cerebral dominance of the deaf and the arrangement of these patterns, and study the differences in the patterns of cerebral dominance between the deaf and the ordinary.

the researcher had opted for the descriptive method.

The sample of the study comprises 70 of ordinary pupils, and 50 pupils of deaf.

The tools consist in a questionnaire of the types of cerebral dominance for children.

Outcomes of the Study: The dominant pattern among the hearing impaired is the left, while the arrangement of the types of cerebral dominance concerning the deaf is: the left one, the complementary and then the right, the differences between the sample of ordinary pupils and the deaf in the types of cerebral dominance are not significant in the left and the right types and they are significant in the complementary type at the level 0, 05 in favour of ordinary pupils.
