Imam al-Lakhmi's departure from the sect and his opposition to the well-known sect in it is not a favour alone.

Rather, he was preceded by many of those who were freed from the shackles of taqlid, and went out into the space of consideration and inference, and adopted opinions and jurisprudential choices contrary to the well-known madhhab, or that he adopts an odd saying and sees it well-known even if it contradicts that.

The opinion of Imam Malik himself, which exposed him to harsh criticism until he set an example in diluting and rupturing the doctrine, and that is a fan of tradition and fanaticism.

Imam Al-Lakhmi does not criticize the sayings and oppose them on the pretext of whims, but he has taken a special and integrated critical approach that relies on the Book, the Sunnah, consensus and analogy, as well as the evidence that the Malikis were unique in blocking the pretexts and the work of the people of Medina and others, and this indicates his mastery of knowledge and his obtaining the rank of the restricted mujtahid, and the effect of that was clear on Those who came after him, and his deeds, considered this by some as an enrichment of the Maliki jurisprudential heritage.
