Abstract EN

This research aims at introducing a famous Islamic educational thought scholar in the West of Algeria, namely Sheikh and Malikite theologian Ahmad Bin Abi Juma Al-Maghrawi (920AH), who left an educational transcript entitled: “Jāmiʻ jawāmiʻ al-ikhtiṣār wa-al-tibyān fīmā yaʻriḍ bayna al-muʻallimīn wa-ābāʼ al-ṣibyān”, which both imbued Arabic patrimony with Islamic culture and influenced by malikite doctrine in the Islamic Maghreb.

This educational reference is essentially a breadth of the thought of the scientist Muhammad Ibn Sahnoun al-Kairwani (256 AH) in his book: Kitāb ādāb al-muʻallimīn as well as Abi al-Hassan Ali bin Muhammad al-Qayraouani (403 AH) in his book: Al-risāla al-mufaṣala liaḥwāl al-mutaʼalimīn wa aḥkām al-muʻallimīn wa al-mutaʼalimīn, it included educational issues in which various subjects were addressed, such as: cleverness, teacher and boys' ethics and how to reward with retribution or punishment, as well as set study times and seasonal holidays.

In this research, we will try to provide a brief biography of this sheikh, and his most important educational opinions.
