This research aims to investigate the fantasy life in” Youcef Idriss” short novel « Bayt lahm; house of meat » the title is a metaphor which describe four women who were sexually disadvantaged.

This research sheds new light on the relationship between psychoanalysis and literature, by analyzing the impact of Primary process mentation on the artistic production of Youcef Idriss.

Using the appreciation thematic test as a tool for making the difference between the author telling the novel and the strategies of process mentation.

In conclusion, according to data analysis, we confirm that the author used primary process mentation in telling his novel as the primitive scene.

The data show that most types of words and citations using by the author were from E type.
