Abstract EN

The censorship of the legislative power on the facts of the executive power is a direct result for the constitutional founder to establish the principle of the separation of powers which aims to achieve balance and cooperation between the two executive and legislative powers.

This ensures the obedience of government agencies to the rules of the constitution.

Nevertheless, and because of the supremacy of the legislative power over the executive power in Algeria and Morocco, and in view of the declining role of the censorship of the head of parliament in both countries, the censorship of the parliament as a legal mechanism to ensure the enforcement of the Constitutional Amendment of 2020 especially in its oversight function of government activity.
