In this research paper, we will try to show the influence of the french philosopher and anthropologist Claude Lévi-strauss in contemporary anthropological studies in the western world, by highlighting the most important anthropologists who were influenced by the structural method and tried to rely on it in their anthropological studies.

in this context, references are made in this article to the works of Louis Dumon, Pierre Bordieu, Maurice Godelier, Pierre Clastres and Françoise Héritier in France, Edmund Leach, Mary Duglas, Nur Yalman and Rodney Needham in Britain, Clifford Geertz and Marshall Sahlins in the united states of America.
