The city of Zaraï is one of the most important ancient Algerian cities, which has emerged its historical presence since the prehistoric period, especially after the discovery of rock carvings and frescoes located in the archaeological cave, as well as its military and economic role in the Roman period as it was classified as one of the most important ancient customs, in addition to being the center of the Roman Flavien forces after the visit by emperor Hadrianus to avoid rebellions and revolts in North Africa again, hence, we will try region in the prehistoric period, and how this ancient community moved from a simple human gathering to a city with its own status further crystallized under the Roman occupation, which harnessed all the possibilities available to it so as not to get out of its control and rule.
