Abstract EN

This research deals with the most important efforts of translating the Arabic theatrical text in terms of mentioning the concept of theatrical translation, it traces its beginnings to the Arabs by relying on certain techniques and experiences in translating the Arabic theatrical text not to mention the difficulties they faced, this research paper also focuses on the importance of audiovisual translation.

the aim of the research is to reveal the features of renewal in the mechanisms of dealing with the translation of theatrical text and to follow the efforts of the first pioneers, to reach the most important stations known to the Arab theater and its influence on the western theater through a detailed historical narrative.
