Abstract EN

It is one of the fixed wooden artefacts that needed to be found in mosques in Algeria, especially those of the Ottoman period.

The purpose for which this architectural element was created is to deliver the sum of edifices (kneeling and sijud phrases) that are authorized at the time of prayer to the maximum extent possible in the mosque so that worshippers outside the prayer house can perform the prayer, or to perform the second ears in Friday prayers.

The diocese is held within the prayer house, specifically at the penultimate tile level of the prayer house, opposite the kiss wall and on the axis of the plough.

The purpose of this study is to identify some of the models that remain in place in the mosques of Algeria and to highlight their characteristics in terms of their types, shapes and components.
