Abstract EN

Through this research paper, we tried to address the topic of higher education and the labour market in Algeria by exposing it to its development, reality and the most important challenges it faces, to the most important requirements and measures to address this.

We have found that the Algerian University is witnessing a significant increase in the number of students and graduates so that they do not have enough knowledge about the labour market, resulting in a widening gap between educational outcomes and labour market requirements and thus exacerbating the problem of unemployment of university graduates, so authorities and decision makers must take the necessary measures to reduce this by developing targeted strategies to improve technical programs in universities in accordance with the developments and demands of the labour market.
