Research Summary The Senussi movement is a religious institution with an advocacy orientation, as it established its corners in every country that reached it and made them pulpits for the dissemination of Sharia and religious sciences.

It is located in the Kanem region, which is a place of residence for some Libyan tribes, including Awlad Suleiman, whose leader Ghaith bin Abdul Jalil Saif Al-Nasr welcomed the settlement of the Senussi in Kanem and the establishment of some corners that undoubtedly will benefit them.

However, the Senussi movement stopped its advocacy work and directed it to military action, as a result of the developments that occurred on the scene of international politics, and by this we mean the French presence in central Sudan and their presence near the Senussi area of influence, as this was the first time that the Senussi field extended from The Mediterranean coast in eastern Libya up to Lake Chad, and this challenge was direct represented in armed military confrontations between the two parties, despite the lack of experience of the Senussi in this field, but its leaders showed rare courage and accuracy in organizing ranks and leading roles, to the extent that their enemies admitted this before their friends.
