In these contexts of rapid transformations and periods of uncertainty caused by the process of globalization, the migration phenomenon is experiencing increasing research activity and is becoming an object of multidisciplinary research of great interest and also an often controversial political subject.
as far as sociological research is concerned, studies on migration have often combined two complementary approaches : a socio-economic approach at the macro-sociological level, which is based on the analysis of the general context of the society of departure and arrival, and-a micro-sociological approach, which is interested in behaviours, processes, dynamics and networks.
in this article, we will outline these different approaches in the light of current developments in migration.
in conclusion, we will argue that current migrations are driven by the search for "well-being" and not only by economic gains.

Dans ces contextes de transformations rapides et de périodes d'incertitude causées par le processus de globalisation, le phénomène migratoire connait une activité de recherche croissante et devient un objet de recherche pluridisciplinaire de grand intérêt et aussi un sujet politique souvent controversé.
en ce qui concerne la recherche sociologique, les études sur les migrations ont souvent combiné entre deux approches complémentaires qui sont : une approche socioéconomique à l'échelle macrosociologique qui se base sur l'analyse du contexte général de la société de départ et d'arrivée et-une approche microsociologique qui, elle, s'intéresse aux comportements, aux processus, aux dynamiques, aux réseaux.
nous allons dans ce présent article esquisser ces différentes approches à la lumières des évolutions actuelles des migrations.
en conclusion, nous avancerons que les migrations actuelles sont muées par la recherche du "bien-être" et non seulement par des gains économiques.
