Abstract EN

The present research paper investigates the Algerian Musical Heritage embodied in the Andalusian Music considering it as a specific type of Formal Music with its own styles.

The fundamental aim of the paper is to separate the type from the style and the musical mode in the Andalusian Music using two basic entangled methods, which are the historical and the analytical.

In musical research, they are known as "Historical Musicology" and “Systematic Musicology”, the field that studies music according to its historical development, musical composition, performance, and instrument.

Moreover, the present research paper highly emphasizes the musical form of “Nuba” referring to it as a common type of various principle Andalusian styles and regarding it as a standard to differentiate between the styles and their musical modes that are going to be analyzed throughout the historical development and the musical analysis.
