This study seeks to reveal the various cultural patterns in the novel "The Ashes that Washed the Water", because the Algerian novel is based on political, historical and civilizational references, so it weaves, according to its example, an artistic world in which reality is mixed with imagination in order to correct and modify the current reality.

Thus, it is often announced About that identification and contact with life to make literature a cultural tool against those patterns residing in the thinking of the group.

Accordingly, this research involved a number of questions, including: What are the most important cultural patterns included in the novel The Ashes That Washed the Water? To what extent was it able to destabilize the centralities, and hold them accountable and restore what is known as “marginal”? To answer these questions, our studu came as a description and analysis trying to know the manifestations of cultural patterns in the novel “The Ashes that Washed the Water” by Izz al-Din Jalawji; Where it revealed in its results the presence of many formats.
