Abstract EN

This paper aims to shed light on the Moroccan critic Said Yaktine, known for his increasing interest and attention in investigating and exploring narrative heritage, and more precisely the novel which occupies a prominent place among the other literary genres due to its interdisciplinary nature involving its relationship with many other fields such as history, from which it has derived its narrative material paving the way for the historical novel to emerge.

This critic sought to explore the features which determine the narrativity of the historical novel drawing upon heritage to create a new Arabic narrativity in line with the new trends of criticism.

Hence, our study seeks to tackle the historical novel from the perspective of Said Yaktine.
