Abstract EN

The present study aims to identifying the extent that the characteristics of the strategic information system outputs contribute in creating the strategic knowledge of Duhok Polytechnic University, in addition to detect the nature of the correlation and influence between the characteristics of the strategic information system outputs and the strategic knowledge in the investigated university.

the questionnaire was used as a basic tool to collect the data required to complete the field side of the research, the questionnaire consisted of (35) items as indicators to measure the role of the characteristics of the strategic information system outputs in creating strategic knowledge, and (70) questionnaires were distributed to the university leaders at Duhok Polytechnic University, (63) questionnaires were retrieved, the number of valid questionnaires for analysis purposes was (60) questionnaire .

a set of statistical methods were used to analyze the data and arrive at the required results, such as : frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, (T) and (F) test in (SPSS V.

26).

one of the most important conclusions reached by the research is the existence a positive moral correlation between the characteristics of the strategic information system outputs and strategic knowledge; also, there is a significant impact of the characteristics of the strategic information system outputs in creating strategic knowledge.

in light of the conclusions, a number of proposals were formulated, the most important is the need to enhance the ability of the strategic information system to adapt and respond to the multiple, renewable and constantly changing needs of all parties benefiting from the outputs of the strategic information system, especially the university leaderships of the researched university, and thus the strategic information system can do its work efficiently and effectively.
