Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to illustrate the economic importance of inflation to the economic policy-making and economic stability of Arab countries and some Maghreb countries, whose economies have been affected by inflation in recent years the hindered its progress in development.

This study concluded that inflation leads to an imbalance in the balance of payments, and negatively affects the price system, production structure, monetary efficiency and its operation.

Inflation is affected by government's tight fiscal and monetary policies.
