The issue of Al-khilafah is among the issues that occupied the minds of Muslims throughout the ages.

Scholars and jurists wrote about it, and among these we find Mohammed Rachid Rida, whose life coincided with the last episode of the Ottoman Caliphate series when Mustafa Kamal Ataturk abolished the Khilatah and announced the establishment of the Turkish Republic.

He had several positions regarding the Ottoman Khilafah before and after its abolition and the future of the political system that should be followed by the Islamic community.

Mohammed Rachid Rida believes that Mustafa Kemal has left the religion when he abolished the Khilafah, and he remained on his opinion until his death agreed, he kept calling for the need to revive the Khilafah.
