With the development of time, the individual must belong to the land where he was born or inhabited because belonging inherent in the soul.

The individual needs to build positive interactive relationships with the various members of his community on the one hand, and between him and his environment on the other.

Therefore, the development of modern societies is measured not only by the extent of technological, economic and cognitive advances, but also by the individual's retention of the core values upon which society is built.

These values include: the love of the homeland and the sacrifice for it and the performance of duties towards him to show the extent of his patriotism.

In this analytical theoretical study, we tried to define some terms: citizenship, patriotism, and homeland, and clarify their concepts within different contexts, and the differences between them.

The main results were: - Citizenship is not only linked to the right to reside, work and vote, but is an integrated social practice.

- The national is the theoretical, intellectual and emotional framework of citizenship.

- All this for the sake of the homeland, which does not reflect only the piece of land inhabited by man.
