Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the impact of WhatsApp usage on time management of students in Yemeni universities.

a sample size of (700) was drawn out of a total population that included the students of four colleges in Hadhramout University.

a total of (608) questionnaires were used for analysis.

the findings revealed that most of the students use WhatsApp and spend long time in different periods for different purposes that includes academic issues.

in addition, the results indicated that WhatsApp usage affect student's time management with dimensions of discipline, academic performance, library time, and time of discussion and information exchange.

in addition, it showed that information exchanging and library times were priorities of students to use WhatsApp.

Furthermore, the results found that there is no variation of WhatsApp usage refer to the college and sex variables.

the study recommended encouraging students to spend more time of WhatsApp interactions on academic issues, and that future studies should be carried out on another social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat.
