The purpose of this research was to examine the intertextuality between heritage and poetry in the works of Ibrahim Al-Damegh.

the study focused on his significant historical and literary sources, revealing the artistic techniques he used and the semantic results he achieved.

the research was structured into an introduction that discussed the significance of the topic, its causes, objectives, previous studies, and research methodology.

the first section of the research focused on the intertextuality between historical heritage and poetry, including historical symbols and facts.

the second section focused on the intertextuality between literary heritage and poetry, including intertextuality with other poetry, proverbs, and literary figures.

the research found that Al-Damegh was skilled in making intertextuality a fertile ground, using it to create vivid images and points of connection between memory and the reader.

through intertextuality, Al-Damegh was able to strengthen the compatibility of ideas and links between ancient and modern.

the study also concluded that the various sources of intertextuality in Al-Damegh's work indicated his broad cultural knowledge and ability to incorporate it into his poetry, enriching his poetic experience.
