The study titled "Al-Hashimi's Views and his Approach to Criticism through his books 'Jawāhir al-Adab ' and 'Jawāhir al-balāghah '" focused on tracing and elaborating the critical views of Ahmed Al- Hashemi, and the role he played in critical issues during the modern era.

the study was divided into an introduction, preface, and two sections, with each section covering various critical issues.

the preface discussed the relationship between rhetoric, literature, and criticism, as well as Al-Hashemi's life, upbringing, culture, writings, students, contemporaries, and death.

section one explored Al- Hashemi's critical views on poetry, including the primacy of Arabic poetry, the classes of poets, poetic plagiarism, and the concept of literature.

section two focused on Al-Hashemi's approach to criticism, including his critical judgments on poetry and poets, poetic balances, and critical standards for his selections.

the study concluded with findings that highlighted Al-Hashemi's good taste, sensitive critical sense, and his approach towards general criticism, general judgment, and the predominance of absolute criticism.

the study suggested that Al-Hashemi's book, "Jawahir Al-Adab," could be a representative of his critical thought.
