Abstract EN

This research included a descriptive study to find out "the effectiveness of a program based on cooperative learning in developing creative reading skills among secondary school students in the capital sana'a".

a test was prepared to measure the level of female students in their comprehension of creative reading skills in relation to the skills of (fluency, flexibility and originality).

the test was applied to a sample of (80) female students in the second secondary grade who were evenly distributed from two secondary schools in Al-Safiyah–Sana'a.

the researcher used the descriptive, semi-experimental approach, due to its suitability to the nature of this research.

the research reached several results, the most important of which are : 1.

there are statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups' responses to the creative reading skills test at the level of (fluency, flexibility and originality) in the post application and in favor of the experimental group.

there are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups' responses in the pre-application of creative reading skills test at the level of (fluency, flexibility and originality).
