Abstract EN

This research deals with the justification of the rule: “when an act does not have any support except companions' tradition but such act exists during Prophet Period”.

It also displays jurisprudential applications to this rule, whether the source of the act exists during the prophet period, or the source of the act is likely to exist during the prophet period.

Research Objectives: (1) To know the preponderant opinion on whether companions' tradition is a certification.

(2) To give explanation on the ruling of considering companions' tradition as an authentication when there is no other authentication on such case, so far as the source of the act exists during the prophet period.

Research Approach: Inductive and deductive method.

Research Divisions: The research comprises of an introduction, a prologue, two chapters, a conclusion, and an index of resources and references.

Important Findings: (1) That the stand of the four major Islamic doctrines is that companions' tradition is a certification.

(2) The companions' tradition is considered an authentication when there is no support except companions' tradition but such act exists during the prophet period.
