This paper seeks to shed light on the emergence of the desert problem.

Meanwhile, it starts from an inventory of the various events and incidents that followed this conflict, from its connection to the completion of the territorial integrity of the Spanish colonizer to the moment of the emergence of what was described as the "Polisario".

As it argues that the Sahara is Moroccan, it goes back to arguments that have remained constant over time and were linked in their comprehensiveness to legal, political, social and historical arguments.In parallel, however, it also focuses on the path that the file has taken since it entered the Organization of African Unity, and obstructs the series of negotiations until the moment the United Nations adopts the file and resumes the search for a settlement solution
