Abstract EN

The research dealt with the subject of The Saddens Reflections in literature and the Qur’an.

The aim of the research is to prove the value of the spiritual heartache and the extent of its direct impact on the soul, how to contain it, ways to get rid of it, and the possibility of employing it for good, at the expense of the strong dictates resulting from grief.

The importance of the research lies in the wide use of the word Saddens among Arab poets and the wide meanings they carried for that word, which came with multiple goals and objectives, and what the Holy Qur’an, on the other hand, specified the uses of that word.

The research adopted the inductive and descriptive analytical method.

In its conclusion, the research came out with several results, including: poets and writers used grief in mourning for the beloved, youthful women, satire and slander.

The research recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are; Learning about the situations of sadness and overcoming the desires of the soul, and understanding the meanings of sadness in the Great Qur’an to follow it.
