Abstract EN

This study dealt with the role and importance of scientific research in developing the performance of the armed forces for the period (1992 ad -2013 ad).

the study also aimed to identify the role of scientific research in developing performance in the Sudanese armed forces.

this research derived its importance through the great scientific development that regulated the walks of military life, especially in the field of theories, armament and military equipment, which necessitated planning to keep pace with this development.

also, the multiplicity and diversity of problems facing the armed forces makes it useless to treat them with temporary solutions, as deep future studies are necessary to reach them.

it is also important to benefit from the large amount of scientific research prepared and produced by the armed forces, taking into account the need to reach an optimal formula for how to benefit from scientific research to develop the performance of the armed forces.

the study used the historical approach and the descriptive approach to analyze and verify the problem, by formulating its questions and hypotheses to try to find the appropriate solution through the questionnaire form.

the study concluded that scientific research has an important, effective, and essential role in developing the armed forces.

it also concluded that there are no separate and sufficient budgets for the preparation and implementation of military scientific research, and there is no mechanism for how to benefit from the results and recommendations of research.
