Economic development is a set of programs and plans that go through many stages in which the political decision affects negatively and positively according to the added value or the lost contribution, and therefore the paper dealt with the subject of the impact of the political decision on economic development in Sudan, and aimed to identify the political decision and its types, and the methods and mechanisms of its making, as well as to identify the limits of influence and the extent of its positive contribution towards achieving the desired development by society, and the paper used in dealing with the subject the historical approach followed by the political decision as well as the descriptive approach to identify The nature of political decisions in Sudan, the paper also uses the analytical approach to find out the extent of political impact on economic development plans and programs set by the administrative apparatus of the state, The paper reached a set of results, the most important of which are : The political instability in Sudan and the fluctuation between the military and civilian regimes in governance led to the manufacture and making of multiple and inconsistent political decisions that affected the overall economic development programs and plans, as well as the political and ideological orientations followed by successive Sudanese governments that introduced them into the conflict of the various international political axes, and Sudan has lost a lot by doing so due to its weak impact on these axes, and the paper reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are : Carrying out island reforms and restructuring of the economic system in Sudan, as well as a specialized conference of national experts to discuss economic issues with a professional and scientific vision away from political tensions to reach a comprehensive economic vision that addresses the problem to get Sudan out of the circle of weakness and poverty to leadership and prosperity, which is qualified for that and possesses the ingredients.
