The study aims to define the legal protection that women enjoy from domestic violence and international and Arab laws, including Iraqi laws in their various branches that dealt with the issue of violence against women. Results The shortcomings of those laws, and this is due to the fact that these laws did not provide the necessary protection for women, as well as the passage of a long period of time on them, especially in Iraq. International and legal protection in the Arab countries and Iraq? The study recommended the need to make the necessary amendments to the laws commensurate with the existing development in order to protect women from violence in all its forms, especially domestic violence.: a comparative study

تهدف الدراسة إلى التعريف بالحماية القانونية التي تحظى بها المرأة من العنف الأسري والقوانين الدولية والعربية ومنها القوانين العراقية بمختلف فروعها التي عالجت موضع العنف ضد المرأة، فقانون العقوبات العراقي أفراد لحماية الأسرة مواد قانونية، وكذلك القوانين العربية في الجزائر وفي الأردن وبقية الدول العربية، وأظهرت النتائج قصور تلك القوانين، ويعود ذلك إلى أن هذه القوانين لم توفر الحماية اللازمة للمرأة وكذلك مرور مدة طويلة من الزمن عليها خصوصا في العراق، وقد سلط بحثنا الضوء على بيان ماهية الحماية القانونية وكذلك آثار العنف الأسري والحماية القانونية الدولية والعربية والعراقية وماهية الحماية القانونية الدولية والحماية القانونية في الدول العربية والعراق؟ وقد أوصت الدراسة إلى ضرورة إجراء التعديلات اللازمة على القوانين بما يتناسب والتطور الموجود من أجل حماية المرأة من العنف بشتى أشكاله وخصوصا العنف الأسري.
