Abstract EN

This study explores ancient architectural techniques represented in the covering temple halls and gates with stones which is an advanced technique that cost ancient man a lot of time and effort, starting with the process of choosing the type of stones, cutting and transporting them, and using them for ceilings.

Such techniques are considered among the challenges that faced ancient humans in using stone coverings for their important religious architecture.

This study aims to describe and analyze this architectural technique which has become almost extinct in many architectural installations over time.

Evidence of this technique remained in each of the Banat Temple Banåt Åd in Al-Jawf in the city of Qarnaw (Ma'in), the capital of the Kingdom of Ma'in on the Al Khard Valley in Al-Jawf, and the Temple Nakrab in the city of (Yathill).
