When they build the concept of division and to determine the percentages of their prevalence.

the research problem centered on the following main research question : what are the common errors patterns and their prevalence rates among the fifth year learners when they build the concept of division? the study sample consisted of (161) male and female students from government schools affiliated to the directorate of education for the wilayat of tlemcen, who were chosen intentionally.

the study tool was a diagnostic test prepared by the researchers after verifying its validity and reliability by appropriate statistical means.

the data was also processed using the statistical package for social sciences and humanities (spss).

then the descriptive approach was adopted to achieve the objectives of the study, the results of which showed the presence of common errors in constructing the concept of division, which were classified into seven patterns.
