Pragmatism is a method in the study of language that has its foundations and concepts.

It is a necessity in every linguistic analysis.

It is concerned with studying language in relation to the reference context of the communication process and to the individuals among whom that communication process takes place.

The research deals with the theory of verbal verbs and their role in constructing the argumentative program in the context of narrative discourse, by applying it to a selected group of stingy anecdotes by Al-Jahiz, with the aim of testing the cognitive and explanatory sufficiency of the theory first, and to find out how to employ linguistic structures to persuade the issues of presentation and objection again.

We have adopted a pragmatic approach that starts with analysis from linguistic structures, and ends with the horizons of the pragmatic position, which in many of it is of an external, nonlinguistic nature, to arrive at the conclusion of the research to a central conclusion that there is a strong relationship between the linguistic form of the narration that the verb and speech impersonates, as a demonstrative structure Hajjaj, and the degree of influence it has on the recipient.
