Hashem bin Abd Manaf was the first to start planning for an Elaf contract with Syria with the aim of extending Meccan trade beyond its borders, and he succeeded in that and his sons continued after him in the Elaf contract, and the Elaf coincided with the Elaf of Arab tribes located on the trade route, and Quraysh paid royalties to the tribes which was not accepted.

thus, we can say that Quraysh was able to achieve a reputation and prestige among the Arab tribes, which the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, sought to undermine, which resulted in the subjugation of Quraysh to Islamic control.
