Foreign companies played an important role after 1932, as this agreement had an impact on changing British policy by expanding the area of its investments as a result of the independence agreement granted by Britain to the Iraqi government.

the Iraqi government tried to develop economic plans during the period from 1932-1949, but despite those plans, the the economic situation in iraq is stabilizing as a result of the fluctuating political events, which led to a large number of economic curricula, of which only 6 years and six months of a total of 12-year plans have not been implemented, as well as the role of companies in drawing up economic programs from which only the projects assigned to foreign companies have been implemented.

nationalization also had a role in the emergence of the public sector through the government‟s purchase of the assets of foreign companies‟ projects, and the role of foreign companies expanded after the profit-sharing agreement, which had the effect of changing the centers of economic power in iraq, as these companies played a role in formulating the economic policy of iraq with the aim of restoring what profits she missed because of this law.
