Abstract EN

This article aims to examine the issue of gravity of the difference between knowledge and behavior in moral values.

it also addresses the side-effects in the world of values.

in fact, the deviation of values in individuals and societies is one of the most important reasons of collapse of civilizations throughout history.

therefore, we conducted this precise and concise research to explore the reasons behind such a difference.

the study employs the inductive and analytical approach.

it has come with several findings including: values are considered the governing standards that control the behavior of individuals and societies, directing their view to things and people.

values achieve the humanity of human beings, indicating their typical progress and civilization.

further, the difference between knowledge and behavior in moral values is due to a number of reasons: i) cognitive reasons like not knowing the morals, ii) changing the doctrine science into a theoretical science, iii) extracting values from non-Islamic resources.

Reasons also include behavioral reasons like i) apparent religiosity, ii) weakness of motivation of values, and iii) weak attachment to Allah.
