Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the reality of internet and cell phone addiction among gifted teacher students in Ajloun Governorate in the light of some demographic variables (gender, grade, educational level of the father and mother, and the economic level of the family).

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the Internet and cell phone addiction scale, depending on the theoretical framework for the foundations of psychological counseling and guidance, which was built by Alsaid Yousuf (1993), and developed to suit the Jordanian area.

The sample consisted of (132) Gifted students, and they were selected in a randomly stratified manner from the upper and secondary basic classes The arithmetic means, standard deviation, T.

Test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the data.

The results of the study showed that the level of Internet and cell phone addiction among gifted students among the teacher’s students was low, and there weren't any statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in the degrees of Internet and cell phone addiction among gifted students of gender, and there were statistically significant differences at the level (α ≤ 0.05) in the degrees of internet and cell phone addiction among gifted students for the grade variable in favor of the higher grade.

The result also showed that there weren't any statistically significant differences in the degrees of internet and cell phone addiction among gifted students on the variable of the educational level of parents and the variable of economic level for the family.

The results were discussed in the light of the theoretical framework & previous studies, it was suggested some recommendations on the basis of the results of the study.
