Abstract EN

This study aims to study individual preferential four cases to emphasis on the articulation characteristics of children with verbal apraxia.

and to know the factors affecting on the verbal apraxia, and analysis of some linguistics texts to find out some of specific features to words of children of this stage.

it has been applied on (100) boys and girls from first grade children, who ranging in age between (6-7) years.

Four children were selected, first and second child who obtained the lowest score in the test of verbal apraxia, and the third and fourth child, who received the highest score in the test of verbal apraxia and study the case on them.

the main results of the study include : 1-there are errors speech in the phonetic operations "substitution, addition, deletion, distortion" in children with verbal apraxia, where the process of substitution errors the most frequent, while the articulation errors in "additions, and deletions" are similar, but "the distortion" it was the least frequent errors.

2-there is lower intelligence " IQ " in children with verbal apraxia.

3-there is rising fears in children with verbal apraxia.

4-there is no difference in the proportion of verbal apraxia and according to the different sex " males and females".

5-the characteristics of the language of a child with verbal apraxia " brief and not specific answers, the existence of minutes of silence at the beginning of speech, short length of the sentence, small number of vocabulary, the lack of efficient communication, lack of use of names, and the rate is slow in the speed of speech.
