Colombian history passed through important stages, from the discovery by travelers and explorers to the declaration of its establishment as a state belonging to the Kingdom of Spain , and then the revolution and the struggle for independence took place with the efforts of Simon Bolivar, who tried to unite large areas of the Latin American continent into one state under his leadership.

But he succeeded only for a short time in that because of the conspiracies resulting from personal interests and political differences between the leaders of the different regions who believed that they were the most worthy to lead that state, so the state that Bolivar created was disintegrated into several states.

The United States of America worked to extend the lines of cooperation and relations with Colombia in order to prevent any European country from reaching it and to make the State of Colombia "with all its different names at that time" an ally of the United States, and it revolves in its orbit in order to make the most of its geographical advantages and natural resources, by concluding treaties that make the United States of America a political and economic control that gives it priority to establish projects that serve its directions stemming from the monroe doctrine.
