The first foundation is legal based on the principle of "The authority of the will", the second is moral represented in the respect of the covenants and covenants, and the third is of a socio-economic nature translated into the necessity of the stability of transactions.

Since the newcomer (COVID-19) has had a great impact on various international trade transactions in all regions of the world, international trade contracts were not immune to this epidemic.

Therefore, this study discusses the issue of the legal characterization of this epidemic between being considered a force majeure or an emergency, as well as the fate of international trade contracts in light of the spread of this epidemic through the dissolution or suspension of these contracts and their impact.

We concluded our study with a conclusion that included the results and recommendations.
