Abstract EN

The cultural scene inside Iraqi prisons and detention centers is one of the most important features of prison life, whose rules have been established by Yusef Salman Yusef (Fahd) since his arrest in Kut prison in 1948 AD, and prisons produced a life other than what the ruling authority planned for.

As they became schools of thought, political, social and literary, through which political prisoners overcame the difficulties of life and created a beautiful world behind those cells, and their literary productions and poems of the last poetry are proof of that.

I salute the political prisoners and detainees' literary epochs, lectures on political economy, as well as literacy classes, and the translation of books from foreign languages into Arabic so that it is permissible for all prisoners of all levels of education.

To be complemented by the daily prison newspapers that transmit international and local news to learn about the events taking place outside the prisons.
