The problem of climate change is one of the most prominent challenges facing the international community in the twenty-first century; As the average temperature is rising steadily; This led to disasters that affected many countries of the world, and the dangers still threaten many countries to disappear from the planet.

And then claiming millions of lives as a result of rising sea levels.

Therefore, the international community tried- by adopting the Paris Climate Agreement in 2015, and by consensus- to limit the rise in temperatures, control the emissions of toxic gases, reduce the level of carbon in the atmosphere, and bring the average global temperatures below two degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, and continue the efforts to limit its height to a limit not exceeding 1.5 degrees Celsius.

This treaty is a major step in the field of climate protection after 2020, and this study will first deal with the international efforts that led to its convening, then learn about its content and the obligations of states in it, and finally we review both the positive and negative aspects of the agreement and its legal value.
