Abstract EN

Ahmad Al_ Daouk is an independent Lebanese politician.

He grew up since 1892 in a social environment of a Beiruti family known as the Daouk family, which was displaced from the Morocco after the fall of Andalusia in the hold of the Franks and settled in Beirut in an area known as “Ras Beirut”.

And persistently, he completed his studies in engineering from the University of Aix-de-Provence in France.

He worked outside and inside his country and became a technical advisor to Sharif Hussein bin Ali in the Hijaz.

He held many administrative and political positions in Lebanon; He was chosen as Prime Minister under President Alfred Naccache (December 1,1941-July 27,1942), and he became the Consul of his country in Spain and France for the period 1944-1952 and 1952-1958, respectively, after which he became Prime Minister for the second time during the period (May 14 - August 1,1960) during the era of President Fouad Shihab, he retired from politics and headed towards managing the position of advisor to the Lebanese Endowments until his death in 1979.
