This paper seeks to elucidate the argumentative aspect that the argumentative ties enjoy in the debates of Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.

The interlocutor directs his speech and his intended argumentative direction by employing the linguistic tools that increase the argumentative power of his locution with his effective argumentative power.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) directed his speech in the argumentative direction he wanted, by employing the Argumentative Connectors such as (Waw, Fa, rather, but, even) which are used to actualize the function of linking the two sayings or arguments, in addition to the function of directing the argumentative saying towards achieving the desired result.
