Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to find the correlation between emotional creativity and unrealistic optimism among educational counselors.

The research adopted the relational approach, its objectives, and a scale was built.

The researcher adopted the theory (Everell, 1993), which identified the following dimensions of emotional creativity, which are (readiness, effectiveness / originality).

It consists of (30) paragraphs in the style of declarative statements, and in front of each paragraph there are five graded alternatives for the answer, which are (applies to always, applies to often, applies to sometimes, applies to rarely, does not apply to me).

) respectively, and the researcher adopted the (Al-Ansari, 2001) scale, which consists of 24 items to measure emotional creativity.

The psychological characteristics were extracted from validity and stability, in addition to distinguishing the paragraphs.

The two scales were distributed to the research sample of (200) educational counselors working in the Dhi Qar education directorates, who were chosen by the random stratified method.

The results concluded that the research sample enjoys emotional creativity and unrealistic optimism.

There is a positive correlation between both variables.
