The study aims to know the extent of the widowhood phenomenon in the province of Babil for the year 2010 and 2020, as well as to know the discrepancy between urban and rural and at the level of administrative units, as well as to identify the widowhood rates between the size of the population and the current widowhood of women in the province of Babylon, including the crude widowhood rate and the general widowhood rateIt was based on the use of two main approaches, where the regional approach was used to highlight the size of the phenomenon and its geographical distribution in the study area, as well as the use of descriptive analytical to reveal the spatial and temporal variation of the phenomenon in the study area.
