Population studies have given great importance to the characteristics of the population, and from here the research came to show the characteristics of the residents of nursing homes and attention to addressing their problems.It was found that the number of nursing homes for the elderly in Iraq is (8) houses distributed in (7) governorates, and the number of people present reached (301), of whom (190) are males and (111) are females .Baghdad governorate ranked first with a number (144) and most of the age (70 years) and more, and social factors are the main factor in their presence, most of them are (divorced) and their vertical education (do not read, write)
