Abstract EN

Nationality is a most important right of human rights.

Removing it from minor children due to voluntary loss from their Iraqi parents، means a waste of their dignity and civil death for them if they find themselves stateless as a result of that loss.

This study deals with the impact of the loss of the Iraqi's nationality on his minor children if it is done by his own will، which was stipulated by the Iraqi legislator in the nationality law (in force) and the extent to which it contradicts what was called for by the Iraqi constitution(in force) and what international conventions called for in this regard، and to find appropriate solutions to address this issue.
