The present study aims to investigate the political themes in Hilmi Salim's Poetry and analyze them.

Hilmi Salim is one of the intellectuals and critics of the contemporary Egyptian political and social life, whose poems provide hypothetical images of the realities of the Egyptian people and other nations.

In the present study, his political poems are examined via a descriptive-analytical method.

The research results indicate that the issue of freedom, homeland, colonialism, tyranny, martyrdom, etc.
