Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the role of social responsibility of the private sector in achieving local development in Yanbu City, to achieve this goal, (143 organizations) were selected.

The researcher designed a questionnaire to collect required data from the study sample.

By using the appropriate statistical tests, the study found that the lack of communication and integration with the community sectors is one of the biggest obstacles to achieving social responsibility, and there is statistically significant relationship between the main activity of the organization and the sectors that benefit the most, and there is also a statistically significant relationship between the organization’s main activity and the obstacles that impede ways to provide development contributions, the study recommended the importance of establishing a headquarters to raise the level of communication and coordination between the private sector and the local community sectors, and also an information center, and activating the role of the media in this context to raise the culture of social responsibility to the private sector, and a supplementary study that includes large organizations in Yanbu City.
